While it has been many years since I have had the pleasure of dining at Mon Plaisir I found the quality of French food, the wine selection and service to be just as wonderful as it was long ago. The attention to detail - with edible flowers on the Salad Nicoise made the meal even more attractive and delicious. If you are looking for a setting for an intimate dinner for 1, 2 or small party of friends the restaurant appears to be able to accommodate all.

A lovely little French restaurant near Covent Garden & Seven Dials. It feels very traditional, in streets packed with chains and restaurants from famous chefs, and it has a good menu of French classics, with good wines. We visited as a group of six and were very well looked after. My beef cheeks were great, as was was the chocolate fondant.

A wonderful French restaurant in the theatre district. It has a two or 3 course menu for pre show dining and an extensive a la carte menu. The wine list is also good. There are two dining rooms and some outdoor seating. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The bathrooms are downstairs and there is a bar as well. Highly recommended

I was introduced to Mon Plaisir by a good friend and have found a gem. The food is delicious of course but the service is super friendly and we were welcomed as family by Virginie and Marie - it’s rare to have such attention, care and authenticity. This makes it a place to come back to. No frills, just good food, relaxed atmosphere and people who care.

Went there to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn’t be happier with the meal! Super authentic French food, tastes delicious and cooked perfectly! I was just sad that my steak tartare as my appetiser was so small, but maybe I should’ve gotten it as a main :) I will definitely come back! The onion soup was also really delicious! I think price wise it’s a bit on the high side, but not the most expensive French restaurant I’ve been to. And you get your money worth.

Amazing food. Lovely decor. Love the dumbwaiter and ticket system. What makes it even better is that it is family owned and operated. We had the pork shank, duck leg and scallops and shrimp. All simply amazing and perfect. The mixed salads were huge for only 4.50. Highly and strongly recommend this restaurant.

Great cozy little French place. A table nearby made a fuss but felt I had to share our experience was the complete opposite. Lovely kind service, wine topped up throughout. AND THE FOOD incredible subtle french excellence. I'm still thinking about the jus that came with my canard. Honestly, it was Mon Plaisir to have dinner here.

We had a wonderful birthday lunch at this beautiful French restaurant – a real hidden gem! We were pleasantly surprised to learn it’s the oldest French restaurant in London. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, and we were seated at a lovely window table which made the experience even more special. Our waitress was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly charming – she mentioned she'd been working there for 40 years, which speaks volumes about the place. The food was absolutely delicious: we had the steak tartare and the ribeye, both cooked to perfection (yes, even the raw one!). The flavours were rich yet light, and the creme brulee was the perfect finish to a fantastic meal. The decor oozes authenticity and old-world charm. Highly recommend for anyone looking for classic French cuisine in a historic and welcoming setting.
